As many of us know ~ our pups are our babies ... after almost 16 years it was time for my beautiful Kennedy to pass over the Rainbow Bridge. Although we know this day is coming ~ it is still devastating. Kate personally picked my girl up from the Vet after she passed & handled every detail as if she were her own. As hard a time as it was ~ to know that Kennedy was in Kate & her family's hands gave me such peace.
Thank you all so very much ...
THE MOST compassionate, kindest, absolutely wonderful experience experience during such a painful time.
Thank you ALL.
The best decision I could have made! If you are looking for alternative to burial for any pet - the Lakes is incomparable!!! Family owned 3 generations!! I will never go anywhere else. Everything was beyond exceptional!! Kate you are a gem! Her level of service is unparalleled! It truly means the world to me to have his remains treated with the respect and dignity he deserved. The kindness, compassion and sympathy you gave was more needed than my words could ever express. You truly are a God Send, a treasure in such a difficult time. Helped me make a unbearable task more bearable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm so blessed you took care of my Jewel's for me. Forever grateful

We recently lost Penny (our 14 year old Sheltie mix) this past weekend. The entire staff including Katherine (the owner) were incredibly accommodating for us. They were so kind and let us take our time to say goodbye to Penny. We’ve known Kay and her family for years now so when the time came, and Penny was no longer with us, we were extremely comfortable bringing her to be cremated here. Penny was such a huge part of our family and we knew they would take great care of her. She was cremated within three days of leaving her there. They gave us four paw prints, four little packages of Penny’s hair, and the urn we chose. Without Penny, We currently have nine pups and two Guinea pigs. We were so relieved to find out that they actually cremate Guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, pigs, mini horses, dogs, cats etc.
We will definitely be bringing our other pups and our two Guinea pigs here to cremate whenever they choose to go.
We cannot thank them enough for taking care of Penny Heart. I highly recommend this place.
We were very happy with the compassionate service we received from Lakes Pet Crematory. They had a nice selection of containers/urns to choose from. They provided a lock of our cat Lord Byron's fur as well as a plaster paw print with his name. These extras were very touching to us. We highly recommend this company.
I can't say enough about the lakes pet crematory. My sweet maizy who was a 300 pound potbelly pig was my life. She has gotten me through the hardest time of my life. She wasn't a pig, or a pet. She was my baby. I lost maizy on 09.23.21. I was and am completely overwhelmed and rittled with saddness and grief. Its always so hard losing someone you love and as i cried over this great lose i also became full of anxiety because i was well aware i had no idea what i was suppose to do. After calling over 30 places, finding no resources to help or just rude horrible people a friend found ,The Lakes. Katherine answered right away and without hesitation said "we will help you". I later found out she basically pulled her entire staff because she wanted to help me. They were so quick to show up but more important, before anything she just hugged me. They were so amazing, so gentle with my baby. They explained everything to me. When i got to their office everyone was so sweet and so kind. I was explained my options and the very next day was able to get my sweet girl. The amount of generosity, compassion and kindness was out of this world. They made an unbelievably awful day just a little bit easier and i can never thank them enough!!!!!!!
I highly recommend The Lakes Pet Crematory.
The website contains all the information needed to make an informed selection, the cost is reasonable and there are a good selection of urns and keepsakes.
Thank you to all who assisted with the cremation of Lola on 7/26/2021. From the first phone call to the time I picked up her remains, I was treated with compassion and respect.
A special thank you to Missy, who was so professional in the presence of my grief. She plays an important role in the process and does it very well.
I just wanted to take this time to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Missy for her kindness during a devastating time in our lives. I brought my beloved Kiki, our 11-1/2 year old Lovebird, in on Feb. 8 after his passing. I was drowning in grief & sadness at our sudden loss. Missy was wonderful to deal with. She was so kind, so compassionate, I just wanted to thank her. One of the hardest days of my life & she made it a little easier.
My son brought Kiki home 3 days later. We hugged & cried & after a minute he handed me a bag. There was a beautiful card inside filled with birds. Another gauzy bag held our surprise. A cast of Kike's foot print. I sobbed as I touched it. A couple days later as I came home from work, my son went to the shelf & brought the casting over to me with tears in his eyes. He said, "Mom, I discovered something I hadn't seen before..." He took my hand & placed it over an area of the cast (I am legally blind)...he said, "It's his beak." My fingers felt the impression & I started bawling. That precious little beak that I had spent so many hours over the years rubbing. He loved to have his beak rubbed. When I was not working, Kiki & I spent every waking moment together. He was my constant companion. I am so lost & lonely without him. I never knew what a huge impact that little guy had on my life. Now, I still have parts of him with me forever. Missy, I can never thank you enough.
Losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking. I am so thankful for your services. We were treated with dignity & respect & I will never forget that.
